Miyama Kayabuki no Sato(Miyama’s thatched village)
Miyama-cho is about an hour and a half drive from downtown Kyoto.
The area where many private houses with thatched roofs remain is called “Kayabuki no Sato” and is designated as an important traditional buildings preservation area of the country.
Selected as the “Best Tourism Village” by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
