Rurikoin is located in the Yase area at the foot of Mt. Hiei, a little far from the city. It is normally closed to the public, but it is open to the public only in spring and autumn, and has gained popularity for its spectacular view of the maple trees reflected on the desk tops on the second floor of the study room.
